WOODWORM SERVICES
Wood Boring insects are natural forest dwelling insects that dine on damp sapwood on the trees and branches that are sick or have fallen to the forest floor. They don’t fly into homes like locusts and eat your property until it falls. The property has to be really damp first.
Condensation / mould
Condensation starts as moisture in the air which then turns into water droplets when it comes into contact with a cold surface. It usually occurs when you’re cooking, drying clothes indoors or showering/bathing. The most obvious sign of condensation is mist on your windows
Wood-Decaying Fungus
Both wet rot and dry rot are types of fungal decay and the symptoms of an escape of water or high humidity in that area. For us, the first important task is to identify which type of rot your building has sprouted and where the water’s coming from.
Damp & Timber Surveys
A very contentious part of selling or buying a home is someone picking up damp, decay, or woodworm. Typically, you will have to commission a damp and timber company to visit the property and undertake a damp survey.
